I just got my new blender a gift from my husband for my birthday. It was a blender from Ninja Kitchen, to be exact it is Ninja Ultima Blender.
When I first looked at the packaging I a bit surprised because, on the packaging, there is very interesting advertise text which I think it can be a controversial thing.
That is when they claim can do the same things as Vitamix blender but comes at 1/3 the cost of $600 Vitamix blender.
Is that true Ninja can do same or even better than Vitamix?
Before I go further with my personal opinion regarding Ninja vs. Vitamix, you can check this review by BlenderVersus.com which I believe the most comprehensive blog that did a great study of these two blenders.
This blender manages its duties excellently according to the tests and also has a reasonable price. It has an engine of a full 1,100 watts and able to hold 3.4 liters of dry ingredients or 2.2 liters of liquid.
One advantage of this blender is the large number of accessories that you get on the bargain. Even consumers are very pleased with this blender, also after a more extended period of use.
The other things that I love with this blender, among other things. That is:
- The design simple, stylish and easy to use
- Relatively easy to clean
- Definitely worth the money
- An excellent and robust machine for the slightly larger household
With all those facts above, can we conclude that this Ninja blender able to compete with Vitamix blender? I would say yes and no. Yes, if you look at the price but no if you look at the quality.
Indeed this Ninja Ultima blender can do everything that Vitamix can do, but the result and time are not same. For e.g. when you make a high fiber green smoothie with Ninja blender. You will still find the fibers texture on the smoothie, while in other hands Vitamix's result smoother surface.
The other is the material when I checked the material of Ninja Ultima Blender, it almost all made of cheap kind of plastics. The body, the dial and buttons and also the lid are made from a plastics material which I believe is not the best grade you can get in the market.
Also when looking at the blender blades, I found the design of Ninja blender's blades is a bit unique. They are sharp blades, and the design looks like a cyclone. I found it is hard for me to clean up the blades without scratch my hand.
And the last is about the warranty, Vitamix gives way long-term warranty (7-year warranty) while Ninja blender only gives 1-year full warranty which is can be the real downside of this blender.
