Well, last night I sent the files for my spring collection off to Kokka. We seem to do things a little last-minute around here, but alas, it's finished!
And, as long as you won't hold me to every detail (I'll still have to do color corrections on the strikeoffs), I'll share a little glimpse of the new line: Ruby Star Spring. This is an exciting collection; it will be printed on a 62" wide lighter-weight cotton-linen blend fabric! It's perfect for apparel or home dec, but, as always, plays nicely with all you quilters out there. I'm so excited!
One last thing: if you are a fan of Echino, (and how can you not be?), you'll notice that in the spring, she does more simple, graphic, geometric prints (the cameras, the glasses, the cars...you know), and then in the fall, she comes alive with the gorgeous wonderland of animals and flowers that are so beautiful they'll make you cry. So, for my collection, Kokka asked me to take a stylistic departure from Ruby Star Rising for the spring, but then follow up on that line again this fall.
So, now, I would like to present Ruby Star Spring, available in stores early summer:)
